Description

  • The ideal candidate would have experience in the service industry, primarily in regards to troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairs of plumbing and heating systems. The ideal candidate would also be a self-starter that would represent the company at the highest level of professionalism. Exceeding customer expectations is your goal to ensure happy and repeat customers.

Job Duties

  • Follow the outline of company policies and procedures

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, vendors, and co-workers

  • Self motivated and ability to maintain productivity without supervision

  • Help maintain and promote high company morals as well as a professional and friendly work environment

  • Must be outgoing, professional and clean cut

  • MUST HAVE experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, servicing, repairing and installing all components of plumbing and heating systems

  • Drain cleaning experience is an asset

  • Educate clients about plumbing and gas safety and required maintenance of equipment

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects

  • Test newly installed and repaired equipment for proper performance

  • Must possess own tools necessary to accurately diagnosis and repair issues reported by clients

  • Posses a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, clear of any GDL restrictions and a driver’s abstract must be provided upon start date

  • A clean police clearance letter must also be provided upon start date

  • Ability to participate in our on-call rotation schedule

  • Ability to work 8-12 hours per day when required, with overtime pay when applicable

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Possess appropriate credentials and certifications (i.e. Schooling Records, Red Seal Journeyman credentials, etc.)

  • Residential 2+ Years (Preferred)

  • Furnace Repair and Installation 2+ Years (Preferred)

  • Conventional and Tankless Water Heater Repair and Installation 2+ Years (Preferred)

  • Plumbing Rough-in 2+ Years (Preferred)

  • Gas Work 2+ Years (Preferred)

Job Responsibilities​ ​

  • All plumbing aspects including rough-in, fixture installs and repairs, appliance installs and repairs, etc

  • All heating/gas fitting aspects including gas line installs and repairs, appliance installs and repairs, etc

  • Educate clients about plumbing and gas safety and required maintenance of equipment

  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, vendors, and co-workers

  • Self motivated and ability to maintain productivity without supervision

  • Help maintain and promote high company morals as well as a professional and friendly work environment

  • Participation in our on call rotation

What Are We Looking For?

  • Registered 1st – 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman/Journeywoman

  • Experience in the Service industry is required

  • Drain cleaning experience is an asset

  • Experience with boilers and tankless systems is an asset

  • Test newly installed and repaired equipment for proper performance

  • Posses a thorough understanding of the Provincial codes and standards

  • Clean and valid Class 5 driver’s license, free of GDL (required)

  • Clean criminal record check
